Where is the first thing to go in Jakarta?

If Jakarta is one of your stopovers and anybody recommend you Jalan Jaksa as your first stay, just go ahead. Backpackers might feel slightly or somewhat like home here as guest houses available anywhere along the street located downtown. There are cafes which enable you to hangout and interact each other as well as some Internet stations for your Internet access pleasure and everything around serves as cheap or reasonable price.

Exploring Jakarta for the first time by any backpackers can be troublesome, but thanks to the Internet, any references you need you can search there for your guidance. You might have read a recommendation to take taxi or Damri bus from Soekarno-Hatta airport to any distinations you like around Jakarta or to go straight backpacking to its sattelite cities, which many prefer--and I recommend too--Bogor. It's nearer than you go straight to Borobodur Temple in Central Java or even Bali. A rainy town, cool temperature with a botanical garden in the center of town, find souvenirs you like here.

However, anywhere you go, starting from Jakarta just make sure you're not trapped in a flood.
